Terms of Use

Last updated: October 17, 2026 - Pragmatic Apps

These terms cover the website www.pragmaticapps.net and the apps published by Pragmatic Apps. In short: the apps come from Google Play or the App Store, purchases are paid and refunded through that store, there is no advertising, and the parents' edition of Multiply is a one-time purchase meant for parents, not for children.

1. Purpose and Publisher

These terms of use (the "Terms") set the rules for using the website www.pragmaticapps.net (the "Website") and the mobile applications published by Pragmatic Apps (the "Apps").

The Website and the Apps are published by Pragmatic Apps, an independent software developer. Any question about these Terms may be addressed to:

Email: pragmaticapps13@gmail.com
Contact form: www.pragmaticapps.net/contact

The Apps covered by these Terms are:

  • Stage Player - backing tracks, lyrics and scores on stage
  • Chord Analyser - chords and chord charts
  • Am I Happy? - a daily wellbeing tracker
  • Multiply - an adventure game for practising the multiplication tables, for children aged 7 to 10

By using the Website or an App, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use them.

2. Access to the Apps

The Apps are distributed through Google Play and, for some of them, the Apple App Store. Each store listing says which devices and system versions the App supports. Downloading an App is free.

Using a store requires a Google or Apple account, governed by that store's own terms: the Google Play Terms of Service or the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. For Apps downloaded from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

Chord Analyser and Multiply need no account at all. Stage Player offers an optional account for its cloud backups, and Am I Happy? uses Google Sign-In to keep your answers across your devices. You are responsible for keeping access to your account private, and you can delete it at any time, as described in that App's privacy policy.

3. In-App Purchases

Some Apps offer optional paid features inside the app. The price, what the purchase unlocks and, where it applies, how long it lasts are shown in the App and by the store before you confirm.

  • Multiply - the parents' edition is a single one-time purchase. It unlocks the parents' area: the child's statistics, their progress in the adventure and targeted practice. There is no subscription and no advertising, and the whole adventure stays free without it.
  • Chord Analyser - a one-time purchase unlocks the full version.
  • Stage Player - paid plans only buy cloud storage for backups. Nothing you use on stage is behind a payment.
  • Am I Happy? - Premium is a monthly subscription, with a free trial.

Payment. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play or the App Store, under its own terms, including taxes and currency. Pragmatic Apps never receives your payment details.

Subscriptions. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it, and a free trial becomes a paid subscription at its end unless you cancel before. You cancel from your subscriptions in Google Play or from your Apple account settings. The subscription then stays active until the end of the period already paid.

Refunds. Refunds are decided by the store, under its own rules: Google Play refund policies or reportaproblem.apple.com for the App Store. Pragmatic Apps cannot refund a store purchase itself, but will gladly help: write to us if something went wrong.

Restoring a purchase. A purchase belongs to the store account that made it, not to the phone. On a new device signed in with the same account, the App finds it again on its own, or with its "Restore purchase" button (in the parents' area in Multiply).

4. Intellectual Property

The Website, the Apps and everything in them (code, design, texts, illustrations, characters, 3D models, music, sound effects, voices, logos and the Pragmatic Apps name) belong to Pragmatic Apps or to its licensors, and are protected by intellectual property law.

Pragmatic Apps grants you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use each App on the devices you own or control, within the limits set by the store you got it from. You may not copy, sell, rent, modify or redistribute an App or its content, or decompile it, except where the law expressly allows it.

5. Your Content

What you put into an App stays yours: audio files, PDF scores, lyrics, chord charts, wellbeing answers. You must have the right to use the files you import, in particular music you did not write.

When you use a cloud backup, you allow Pragmatic Apps to store and copy that content for one purpose only: keeping it safe and giving it back to you on your devices. It is never published, sold or shared.

6. Personal Data

How each App handles your data is described in its own privacy policy:

  • Stage Player - Privacy Policy
  • Chord Analyser - Privacy Policy
  • Am I Happy? - Privacy Policy
  • Multiply - Privacy Policy

Multiply keeps everything on the device: no account, no upload, no advertising and no audience analytics. The child's progress and statistics never leave the phone or tablet. The purchase of the parents' edition goes through the store, which processes it under its own privacy policy.

The Website measures its audience with Google Analytics. When you write to us through the contact form, your name, email address and message are used only to answer you.

You have the rights given by the GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability. To use them, write to pragmaticapps13@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés): www.cnil.fr

7. Apps for Children

Multiply is made for children aged 7 to 10. The game contains no advertising, no chat and no account.

The parents' edition is meant for parents. A child must not make the purchase without the permission of a parent or legal guardian. The purchase uses the store account signed in on the device, so we recommend turning on the store's purchase protection: a password or an approval for every purchase, or family controls such as Google Family Link or Apple's Ask to Buy. If a child made a purchase without permission, ask the store for a refund through the links in section 3.

The other Apps are not designed for children. Stage Player's cloud features are intended for adults, and Am I Happy? is not intended for anyone under 16.

8. Availability and Liability

We work to keep the Website and the Apps available and working, but we cannot promise they will be free of errors or interruptions. An App may need an update to keep working on a new version of Android or iOS, and some features depend on the stores or on cloud services. We may change, suspend or stop an App, a feature or the Website, in particular to fix a problem or to follow the law or a store's rules.

Stage Player is used live: keep your own copies of your files, and run through your set on the device before a show. Am I Happy? is a self-observation tool: it is not medical advice and does not replace a doctor or a health professional.

To the extent the law allows, Pragmatic Apps is not liable for indirect damage, such as lost revenue or a cancelled performance, resulting from the use of the Website or an App or from being unable to use them. The Website links to other sites, such as the stores, whose content we do not control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a liability that the law does not allow to exclude, or limits your rights as a consumer under the law that applies to you, including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content.

9. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated, for example when an App changes or when the law does. The date at the top of this page is that of the current version. Significant changes are announced on this page and, where relevant, in the App or on its store listing. If you keep using the Website or an App after a change, the new Terms apply. A change never takes away a purchase you have already made.

10. Governing Law and Contact

These Terms are governed by French law. If you live in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence.

If something goes wrong, write to us first: most problems are solved with an email. If no solution is found, the dispute will be brought before the competent French courts. As a consumer, you may also bring it before the courts of your place of residence.
